I've just watched Pixar's Cars again, and I'm reminded that it is still my favourite Pixar film so far. The general opinion of the film is that it is the weakest Pixar film. For the life of me, I can't think of why, but perhaps I'm biased.
Besides the obvious fact that I like cars, I can't help but see that Cars (the film) focuses on another one of my loves - the United States. Hardly the political aspects of the United States, definitely. But the physical geography, especially of the Western USA, and the general culture of the USA is something that appeals to me. Not that I'd want to live there permanently, but I would dearly love to revisit California, Washington and Arizona, among others, sometime soon.
